The Edge of the Bay reception is open from 8:30am to 5:30pm daily and we have a 24-hour onsite manager in case of emergency.

Our prime position on Tasmania’s East Coast is perfect for a secluded getaway. It’s also the ideal location to use as a base for when you go exploring.

Our 27 acre property is next door to exclusive Sapphire Freycinet. You can walk along our private beach and around the coast to reach Coles Bay village in under 30 minutes. The small coastal town of Swanwick is also around 15 minutes’ walk away.

On Google Maps or your preferred GPS, load 2308 Coles Bay Road, Coles Bay and you’ll see how easy it is to reach this beautiful part of Tasmania.

Edge of the Bay is 195km (approx. 2.5 hours) from Hobart along the A3. From Launceston, it’s 175km (approx. 2 hours) taking Highway 1 then the B34 and then the A3.

Following the signs to the Freycinet National Park, then Edge of the Bay is 23km from the Coles Bay Road turnoff.

Freycinet National Park Walks: 8 kilometres from the start of the walks, including the trail to Wineglass Bay

Bicheno: 35 kilometres (approx. 30 minutes)
